On October 10, 2025, a General Assembly for members of Another Roadmap School took place via online meeting. In the span of approximately two hours there were presentations on updates regarding the network, moments of remembering together and opportunities to talk about future plans for activities and connections.
There were a few dozens attendees from places such as Barcelona, Bogotá, Cairo, Calabar, Colombia, Enugu, Helsinki, Johannesburg, Kaduna, Kampala, Kano, Lagos, Ljubljana, London, Maseru, Mexico City, Parañaque, Port Harcourt, Porto, Pretoria, Quito, San Juan, Toronto and Vienna.
The first part of the assembly was dedicated to updates regarding the network. After an update on its current state and the activities of the Steering Committee, the new website was launched and its functionality briefly explained. The newsletter – to which you can sign up here – was also introduced. Tribute was paid to the late Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa with a read-aloud text and a minute of silence. There was a reflection on working with the Learning Units and on the RESONANCIAS / RESONANCES – Open Sessions series of meetings that have taken place over the last two years and are still ongoing.
In the second part «Thinking and Feeling Together», attendees were invited to share their thoughts on a digital whiteboard regarding the questions «What has kept us together until now?», «What has changed? What are we facing today in our contexts?» and «What could call us to continue?». The inputs from members were then organized into groups and discussed. In the third and last part ideas and motivations were shared to continue working together.
